For this project, Đom Đóm teamed up with RegenX and Simexco to implement a regenerative agriculture program in Đắk Lắk which focused on reducing the carbon emissions from the coffee industry.

This was an innovative approach that focused on replacing ammonium-based fertilizers with alternatives such as compost, fish fertilizer and leguminous cover crops.

We created a program based on regenerative agriculture techniques, including application of foliar sprays to increase nutrient uptake efficiency, implement the use of intercropping species, use biofertilizers to supply trees with nutrients, and increase soil health through microbial amendments and reduce disease pressure.

We used data collection through RegenX’s custom built app to track reductions in mineral fertilizer over time and use this as the basis for reduction in carbon emissions in the coffee production chain.
